Summary. roadster-sale.us uses only strictly necessary browser storage by default. Analytics and advertising technologies are optional, off until you turn them on, and can be switched off again at any time in .
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include browser storage (such as localStorage), pixels or web beacons (tiny images or scripts that record that a page was viewed), and software development kits. In this policy we call all of them “cookies.”
Cookies set by the website you are visiting are first-party cookies. Cookies set by another company, such as an analytics or advertising provider, are third-party cookies. Some cookies last only until you close your browser (session cookies); others stay until they expire or you delete them (persistent cookies).
This Cookie Policy is part of our Privacy Policy.
2. Categories we use
| Category | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Remembers your privacy choices and keeps the Site secure and working. The Site cannot function properly without it. | Always on |
| Analytics | Helps us understand how visitors use the Site — such as which pages are visited and where visitors arrive from — using aggregated statistics, so we can improve it. | Off until you opt in |
| Advertising & sharing | Lets advertising partners measure the effectiveness of our ads and show you relevant ads on other websites. This may be a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or “targeted advertising,” under U.S. state privacy laws. | Off until you opt in |
3. Cookies and storage currently in use
| Name | Provider | Type | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
rs_consent_v1 | Roadster Sale (first party) | localStorage | Stores your cookie and privacy choices, and whether a Global Privacy Control signal was detected, so we don't ask you again on every page. | Strictly necessary | 12 months, then we ask again |
As of the effective date of this policy, we have not activated any analytics or advertising technologies on the Site. If we add any, we will list each provider, cookie name, purpose and duration in the table above before it is used, and it will run only if you have opted in to its category.
Web fonts
The Site loads web fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font, Google receives technical information such as your IP address and browser type, which is needed to deliver the file. Google Fonts does not set cookies. You can learn more in the Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
4. How to manage your choices
On our Site
Use (also linked in the footer of every page) to turn analytics and advertising on or off. To opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, visit Your Privacy Choices. Your choice applies to the browser and device you are using; if you clear your browser storage, we will ask again.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out of the sale and sharing of your personal information and keep advertising cookies off.
In your browser
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary storage may mean the Site can't remember your choices. Instructions for common browsers:
Industry opt-out tools
You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance. These tools work per browser and rely on cookies, so you may need to opt out again if you clear cookies or switch devices.
5. Do Not Track
There is no common standard for responding to “Do Not Track” browser signals, so the Site does not respond to them. We do honor Global Privacy Control, as described above.
6. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when we change the technologies we use, and change the “Last updated” date at the top. If we add a new category of optional cookies, we will ask for your consent again.
